As a photographer, Hollie is deeply drawn to exploring the complexities of womanhood and the way gender shapes our lives. Her work focuses on capturing hyper-feminine imagery—vivid, glamorous, and sometimes exaggerated—to tell stories about what it means to be a woman in today’s society. Hollie is interested in how femininity is both celebrated and scrutinized, and how stereotypes about women are often framed through society’s gaze. But she is also fascinated by the power that these traditionally "feminine" things hold when reimagined in bold, unapologetic ways. Through her lens, she aims to explore how women navigate the expectations placed on them, while also reflecting on the ways men and women interact, challenge, and influence each other relationally. Her photography is about subverting, questioning, and celebrating gender norms, whether by amplifying the stereotypical or deconstructing it entirely. Each image she creates shows how complex, layered, and powerful femininity can be, and how these forces shape not just individual lives but our collective understanding of what it means to be human.
